MBC Group Recorded 8.8 Billion Views Across Various Social Media Platforms in Ramadan 2021

The MBC Group accounts on social media platforms collectively managed to achieve an exceptional global performance, this time in the month of Ramadan 2021, as it recorded a new record with a total of more than 8.8 billion views across various social media platforms, which reflects an increase of 32% from the record Which she achieved in Ramadan last year, and at that time entered the list of the world’s top ten.

In parallel, the “MBC Group” continued to lead the list of the most watched media platforms for video content through social networks in the Middle East, while maintaining its position among the top ten globally in the fields of television, radio and satellite broadcasting, as it ranked ninth this year, according to the latest results issued by the global specialized Tubular Labs.

Moreover, MBC’s lead was not limited to the platforms that Tubular Labs included in its statistics only, but MBC’s accounts on the “Tik Tok” platform, for example, also ranked first among publishers in terms of the number of views, exceeding 472 million views. MBC also achieved another resounding success on the “Snapchat” platform, recording a record number of about 4.2 billion views, an increase of 392% compared to the month of Ramadan last year.

For his part, Mofeed Al-Nuwaiser, CEO of the digital sector at MBC Group, said: “The record numbers achieved by the group’s social media platforms are a reflection of the strong programmatic fan presented by MBC channels during Ramadan 2021, and it is the culmination of the strong performance since the beginning of 2021, The revenues of the MBC Group’s social media and digital projects increased by 1414% compared to last year.”

Al-Nuwaiser continued: “The MBC Group, through its social media platforms, succeeded in meeting the requirements of the Arab public of all its diversity and spectrum, which gave it the confidence of viewers and made it the top of all Arab platforms in the Middle East for years, specifically this year, with more than 8.8 billion views, which is A record number not achieved by any media group in the Middle East in one month.”

And the “MBC Group” had shown in Ramadan 2021 a number of strong and distinguished works that achieved record numbers of viewers on social media platforms, most notably the Saudi comedy “Studio 21” and the famous pranks program “Ramez Aqlo Taar”, and the series “No Roaming”.

Many of the dramas and programs that were shown on MBC channels in Ramadan 2021 topped the trend on social media, such as “Seen Program”, “No Roaming”, “Studio 21”, and “Souk El Harir”.

It is worth noting that this success comes as a continuation of the achievement achieved by MBC Group last year by joining the list of the 10 most watched media platforms around the world for video content through social networks, according to the results issued by the global specialized platform Tubular Labs for the month of May 2020.
