Deezer is now onboard Emirates

  • Travelers can enjoy specially curated playlists created by Deezer’s Music Editors on Emirates award-winning inflight entertainment system

Deezer, the global music streaming service, and Emirates’ have signed an agreement to give the airline’s millions of passengers’ in-flight access to a wide selection of exclusive playlists. Deezer’s music editors have crafted more than 20 playlists to entertain passengers in the air. Deezer is available from today on ice, Emirates’ award-winning inflight entertainment system.

The playlists will appeal to a wide range of tastes and feature an exciting mix of international artists sure to appeal to Emirates customers. Each has been carefully compiled to take the travel experience to new heights and bring the joy of music to the skies.

Deezer’s selections are easy to find, and are currently featured among the top five recommendations on ice for November. With more than 4,500 channels of movies, TV shows, music, and games, ice brings incredible choice to Emirates global customers

Movies and TV are super popular onboard, but a core of our customers love music.  Emirates has supported the industry for many years by working with artists and record labels. Now we are pleased to be building relationships with music streaming services. Deezer offers us a new take on music curation with playlists featuring pop, rock, dance, Arabic Chillout, Khaliji Romance, Arabic EDM, and many more.

Emirates recently scooped the ‘World’s Best Inflight Entertainment’ award at the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards for the 15th year in a row, underlining the company’s deep-seated commitment to providing entertainment of the highest quality for its passengers. Regularly voted among the finest airlines on the planet, Emirates was the first to install TV screens on every seat across its full fleet of aircraft in 1992 and continues its legacy of innovation through its partnership with Deezer.

Deezer launched in the Middle East and North Africa in October 2018 with an exclusive long-term digital distribution agreement with Rotana, the Arab world’s largest record label. The streaming service which is available across 22 countries in the region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Morocco, as well as Turkey and 180 countries worldwide.
