Free bonus from inDrive to celebrate International Women’s Day

inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, is a fervent believer in women empowerment. The platform is therefore celebrating International Women’s Day in the MENA region by providing free bonus for top female drivers, whose dedication to their work sees them complete many orders.

The bonus will allow the female drivers to earn profits through driving, without having to pay inDrive’s commission fee (9.9% excluding vat).

According to a study reported by the New York Times, women tend to be significantly better drivers than men. Echoing this, a recent British study found that women scored higher in every measure of driving competence.

The participation of women divers in the ride-hailing industry has increased in MENA countries over the last five years, thanks mainly to improvements in infrastructure and increased safety measures, which allow them to easily join the app and work proactively.

Add to this that the increasing independence of women in Arab countries has led to a rise in the number of female drivers. As more women pursue education and enter the workforce, they need the mobility and autonomy that driving provides. Moreover, studies suggest that factors like rising divorce rates and a higher average marriage age contribute to women increasingly seeking independence and the ability to navigate their own lives.

Women are gaining ever more opportunities in various sectors of the workforce, including traditionally male-dominated fields like ride-hailing and aviation, and so the world witnesses more women taking to the skies. This reflects not only a desire for independence, but also a breaking down of societal barriers and the promotion of gender equality – two of inDrive’s core pursuits.
