New on Viu: Turkish titles arriving in Ramadan

Viu, PCCW’s leading pan-regional over-the-top (“OTT”) video streaming service, will host two new Turkish titles, including a Viu Original .

Rohit D’silva, Chief Business Officer, Middle East and South Africa at Viu said: “Middle Eastern audiences’ penchant for relatable narratives and themes drives the popularity of Turkish series. We are excited to launch That Girl [أحلام زينب], a Viu Original and Twist of Fate [لعبة الحظ] on the Viu platform this Ramadan. These series are part of Viu’s ongoing co-production collaboration with Kanal D, a leading media group in Turkey and form an important part of Viu’s extensive lineup of brand-new series this Ramadan .”

Here’s what’s coming to the streaming service this month:

1. That Girl [أحلام زينب]: That Girl is a story about Zaynab, a young woman who struggles to make a living and keep her family together despite her father’s illness and constant financial hardship. A chance encounter with a wealthy man may alter her life indelibly. The ensemble cast includes the well-known actor Erkan Petekkaya along with Cengiz Orhonlu, Sezin Akbaşoğulları, Dilin Döger, Ayten Uncuoglu. The drama plays out over 16, 145-minute episodes.
2. Twist of Fate [لعبة الحظ]: Should you marry for love and risk the repeat of the family curse of failed marriages? This is the question Ada is seeking the elusive answer to. Against the odds ,she falls in love and marries the man of her dreams. But challenging fate can have unexpected consequences. The romantic comedy features a stellar cast with Aytaç Şaşmaz, Cemre Baysel, Idris Nebi Taşkan and Asli Sümen in key roles.

Viu is at the forefront of giving Middle Eastern viewers access to a wide range of content that can be watched in their preferred languages.
