Vodafone Egypt signed an agreement with United Media Services to provide “Flex” subscribers with endless content in partnership with WATCH IT App, Egypt’s Leading VOD platform, a subsidiary of UMS. The agreement comes in alignment with Vodafone Egypt’s strategy aiming at providing unparalleled experience and the newest entertainment services and digital content to their customers.
The partnership is expected to contribute to WATCH IT’s access to the largest possible number of FLEX users who represent the broad base of Vodafone Egypt customers which occupies the largest market share of the Egyptian mobile market by 40% of the total mobile users in Egypt.
The partnership was signed by Nashwa Gad, Chairman and Managing Director of United Digital Services – WATCH IT, Karim Eid, Consumer Marketing and Sales Director of Vodafone Egypt, in the presence of Mr. Hassan Abdullah, Chairman of United Media Services and Mr. Mohamed Abdullah, CEO and Managing Director of Vodafone Egypt.

Mr. Hassan Abdullah, Chairman of United Media Services stated that the collaboration with Vodafone Egypt comes within the current methodology of UMS, which aims to open up the market and expand the scope of cooperation and partnership agreements to allow the dissemination of purposeful and entertaining content through the various available digital media. United Media Services also aims to provide all kinds of content, including digital, for all segments of users.
“This agreement comes in light of their new pursued strategy in general development and dissemination plan in order to ensure and provide entertainment and educational content for all. The partnership with Vodafone Egypt is one of the most important partnerships for mobile phone companies.” said Nashwa Gad, Chairman and Managing Director of WATCH IT.
She also expressed her happiness that this partnership will allow Flex customers – who are considered one of the most important segments to which WATCH IT means – the content in a distinct way to enjoy watching an endless number of Egyptian and foreign dramas alongside originals of WATCH IT and Maspero.
Karim Eid said that this partnership comes within the framework of Vodafone’s interest in providing various services to all customers, especially entertainment content, which is witnessing a very high demand with the expansion of the customer base, pointing out that Vodafone has distinguished partnerships with pioneers in the content industry in all fields, and that the new partnership With WATCH IT is a distinct addition to the package of services that Flex customers benefit from, stressing that Vodafone’s customer satisfaction is one of the most important goals that the company seeks to achieve.
Mr. Mohamed Abdullah, CEO and Managing Director of Vodafone Egypt expressed his pleasure to cooperate with United Media Services, not only at the level of the WATCH IT platform but also extended cooperation in more than one field as it is the largest media entity in Egypt that has achieved a breakthrough and successes that changed the media scene and added a lot of successes to it.
WATCH IT, a subsidiary of “United Media Services”, is an Egyptian Video-on-demand (VOD) platform that was launched in 2019 coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan. The platform was created to display classic Egyptian artworks, movies, and Ramadan series.
