Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 07 February 2024: Asharq Discovery, the new free-to-view Arabic-language infotainment platform in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, has launched a new suite of original shows, including ‘Bassma’. The series showcases inspirational stories of pioneering Arab women and their impact on society around the world.
‘Bassma’ is a ten-part series that showcases some of the most iconic women shaping and inspiring the Arab world today, such as Egyptian actress Yusra, singer Samira Saeed, the accomplished lawyer Sofana Dahlan, and the first Saudi female aerospace engineer Mishaal Ashemimry. The line-up also includes motorsports champion Dania Akeel and the talented Saudi designer Razan Al-Azzouni.
The show is accessible free-to-view exclusively on Asharq Discovery every Monday at 9pm KSA across the region through satellite coverage on Arabsat and Nilesat, as well as through the catch-up service Asharq NOW and Asharq Discovery’s social media platforms.
