It’s no doubt that the consumer interest has changed globally during the Coronavirus pandemic. That’s why some types of goods and services witnessed an extraordinary increase in demand as a result of the drastic shifts to the consumer needs and priorities.

Out of the fact of the rapid rise in online purchases during Coronavirus pandemic due to social distancing implementation, the nature of demand in some product categories was a surprise.

SEMrush, the digital marketing software; revealed some global insights regarding Coronavirus Impact on Growth of Consumer Interest in products during March 2020.  According to their insights, home appliances, hobbies, and sports gear product categories topped the list due to the shifts in people’s activities at home.

For the fast growing goods globally by Google search volume growth during the time range (February 2020 – March 2020), “Toilet paper” search volume jumped to 14,928%, followed by “Disposable gloves” that recorded 2,385%.

“Bidet”; that witnessed the biggest search growth across the home appliances category; came third with 1009%, followed by “Freezer” that recorded 512%, while “Kettlebells” came fifth with  400% growth rate.
