1941 saw the first TV commercial in history that was launched by Bulova Watch Company during the broadcast of a baseball match on local New York channel.
The advert duration was only 10 seconds, and its cost at the time was only 4 dollars. The international press described it at the time as a revolution in the world of television.
After the overwhelming success of the advertisement, other companies realized that they must keep pace with the times and start providing their own advertising campaigns on television, and by 1948 the television had succeeded in attracting a large segment of advertisers who took advantage of TV programs to advertise their products.
Because of the widespread spread of advertising campaigns on television at the time, the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) was established to organize commercial advertisements.
