Cinnabon – Egypt has launched a hashtag called “YallaFika” on social media to celebrate World Coffee Day on October 1 and Cinnamon Roll Day on October 4. Through the new hashtag, famous Cinnabon seeks to make the Swedish term “FIKA” famous in the Egyptian culture. Fika means “coffee break with cinnamon baked goods”, which is a daily tradition in Scandinavia, especially in Sweden.
In celebration of the two occasions, Cinnabon encourages cinnamon rolls lovers in Egypt to choose the perfect pair of their favorite Cinnabon and coffee for a unique experience inspired by authentic European traditions.
The Fika trend that is sought to be become viral on social media revolves around the fact that cinnamon rolls are baked to be enjoyed with coffee on the side, and that to each their own taste in coffee.
