  • Sanja Scheuer steps into the role of CPO and joins the Executive Board of the agency group, taking over from Karin Maria Schertler, who transitions to the newly created role of Chief Corporate Strategy Officer within the Serviceplan Group.

Munich, May 16, 2024 – In a strategic move to bolster its global leadership team, the Serviceplan Group, Europe’s largest independent agency group, announces the appointment of Sanja Scheuer as its new Chief People Officer (CPO), effective August 1, 2024. This strategic change is aimed at enhancing the group’s human resources capabilities on a global scale. Scheuer will report directly to Florian Haller, CEO of the Serviceplan Group, and will also join the executive board of the Serviceplan Group Holding.

Bringing a wealth of experience in human resources management, honed through her extensive time at Siemens AG where she held various key roles since 2007, and her prior consulting experience at Accenture, Sanja Scheuer’s appointment underscores the Serviceplan Group’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies with human creativity, and setting new standards in the industry.

Sanja Scheuer comments: “Joining the Serviceplan Group allows me to leverage my extensive HR experience. With the increasing integration of artificial intelligence, alongside the significance of human interaction, creativity, and the growing use of data and technologies, I am facing extremely exciting challenges. I look forward to shaping the future of the agency group together with the board, my HR team, and all colleagues.”

The group also announces the transition of Karin Maria Schertler from her role as CPO to the newly created position of Chief Corporate Strategy Officer (CSO), where she will focus on leading strategic and transformational initiatives across the agency group. Schertler, a seasoned strategy and transformation expert with 18 years of diverse experience within the group, will continue to serve as a member of the extended board, leveraging her deep insights into strategy and transformation to drive the group’s future success.

Florian Haller, CEO of the Serviceplan Group, comments, “The appointment of Sanja Scheuer as CPO and the transition of Karin Maria Schertler to CSO are pivotal to our strategic vision of nurturing talent and driving innovation at the Serviceplan Group. As we continue to expand our global footprint, their leadership and expertise will be instrumental in shaping a future where creativity and technology create unparalleled value for our clients. We are thrilled to have such seasoned leaders steering our human resources and corporate strategy, reinforcing our position as a leader in the communications industry.”
