Kantar, the world’s leading evidence-based insights and consulting company, announced the appointment of Amol Ghate as Managing Director, MENAP, effective 1 July 2021.
With over two decades of experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering cutting-edge consumer insights to clients across the region, Amol has led some of Kantar’s largest client relationships regionally, consulting on business issues around brand equity, segmentation and positioning, portfolio management, brand communications, media optimisation, new product development and pricing.
He brings rich cross-category experience having led Kantar’s Middle East business and worked across personal care, household care, food and beverage, telecom, automotive, luxury and durables. Amol is particularly proud of the Arab as Consumer study, which identifies key insights for brands wanting to increase penetration and grow market-share in Saudi Arabia, as well as the BrandZ Top 30 Most Valuable Emirati and Saudi Brands report, which showcases the power of brands and the importance of brand building.
Amol also leads the Analytics practice across Middle East & Africa, combining innovative data and technology solutions to better predict consumer behaviour, so clients have the confidence to make bold and complex decisions and optimise priorities for growth.
Ghate reports to Adeola Tejumola, Managing Director Middle East and Africa, Insights Division, Kantar. “As he adds North Africa and Pakistan to his remit, we look forward to him further driving our vision of growth in the region and know that both our staff and our clients are in great hands,” comments Tejumola.
Nermeen Bedeir appointed Managing Director, Insights Division, Egypt
Kantar also announced Nermeen Bedeir’s appointment as Managing Director, Egypt, effective 1 July 2021. An accomplished consumer knowledge and insights professional, Nermeen has two decades of experience in the Middle East and Africa markets and is passionate about bringing alive the voice of the consumer, translating that into actionable strategies that lead to business growth for clients.
Nermeen has worked with many brands in the region across FMCG, banking, telecom/technology, automotive and travel/leisure, and brings the best of what Kantar has to offer to clients to grow their market share; from the swift turnaround of declining brands to exploring product development innovations and pushing new potential geographies with locally relevant strategies.
